Amber Schacht is our Youth And Families Team Leader at Engadine District Youth Services (EDYS), leading an experienced team of Youth and Family specialists. The Youth and Families team at EDYS provides a safe space that encourages self-expression and self-exploration for young people to develop their skills and creativity, and explore their identity through programs, workshops and one-on-one case management.
 
A former High School teacher, Amber holds a Bachelor of Linguists and Criminology and Masters Degree in Development Studies from UNSW. She has worked with SSFS for 7 years in various roles including Love Bites Coordinator, Toolbox Talks Facilitator and Youth and Families Team Leader. She is passionate about the important work of helping support young people in our community. As well as looking after the Youth and Families team at EDYS, Amber is responsible for the EDYS space and activities, schools and community programs, services and events.

Amber enjoys working with the a team who’s main priority is empowering and upholding the next generation. She also enjoys working with young people and understanding what is happening for them, their families and the community, in order to create services and programs to support identified needs.
